Albert Einstein said, “Logic takes you from A to Z; imagination takes you everywhere,” revealing that imagination is more important than knowledge. It has been proven in many studies that having a strong imagination contributes positively to learning and creativity. Imagination is what drives us forward as a species. Thanks to it, we expand our worlds and put forward new ideas, findings and inventions.

So, are imagination and creativity the same thing? Dreaming prompts the brain to
generate ideas to realize that dream, and this is called creativity. When defining creative imagination, it is necessary to open a separate parenthesis to creativity. Because what is described in this imagination is our talent, which allows us to write an opera for example or make groundbreaking discoveries.

When we look at the relationship between design and imagination,60-80% of the formation stage of a design is to imagine, and the rest is to design and integrate. Joseph Addison’s words, “Colors speak every language” explains that there are no limits in design, everything is left to our dreams and thoughts. Designing is a product of imagination. The design makes itself felt right there. It is not a visual that appears in the front part, it has a story that allows the picture we see to form. For example, imagine that you are looking at an empty glass. While you only see a tool that you drink something from, a designer examines the shape of the glass, the structure of the handle. And probably 10 different designs appear in his head in a minute.
