Bring out the colors of your inner child!

“Take the hand of your inner child. There is nothing impossible for that child.” says Paulo Coelho. Many writers, thinkers and psychologists often remind us of the importance of that child. But who is that child that lives inside us?

Our inner child accompanies us as a representation of ourselves at many points in our childhood. We can say that we have inner children of different ages. This part of us is very connected to our natural enthusiasm, curiosity and creativity that we experience as real children. When we connect with this special child, we can create different and new things and fully realize ourselves. Because it is the child in us that can give us this power. While our adult side is always interested in the serious and definite side of life, our inner child is the curious, innovative, courageous, joyful side that turns everything into play and fun. When we grow up, when we become parents, when we pursue a career in modern life, we start to ignore our inner child. But as Edip Cansever says, “this childhood is like the sky, it doesn't go anywhere.”

Children know how to savor and enjoy literally everything they see, every moment. That's why when we walk down the road with a small child, we witness them stopping at every step to look around, to look at the animals and plants. This is the secret formula for connecting with our inner child. Truly noticing and enjoying the life that flows before our eyes takes us back to the unique happiness and peace of childhood. So how do we connect with that special child?

We need to hear our inner child when it wants to go to the park and swing with our child; when he wants to eat junk food, we should give ourselves a break every now and then; we should not condemn him when he wants to dance while listening to music with headphones; when he wants to say “I'm hungry” in a meeting, we should not suppress him; we should not make excuses when he wants to play games.

Games color our lives!

Spending lots of playful moments with both the child in us and the children around us distracts us from the stress of life and makes us feel good. When we play with our own child, nephew or grandchild, we leave all the adult seriousness behind and have the opportunity to experience the colors over the rainbow. By pushing our creativity, we find ourselves in adventures that never actually happened. On weekends, we gather around the table and play different games, both as a form of mental therapy and as a way to connect with our inner child. We can enhance this joy of play with Casi Paped's colorful coffee cups. Lungo coffee cups are ready to be your most colorful game partner that increases your Scrabble pleasure, Love Edward filter coffee cups your Go excitement, and Josephine Turkish Coffee cups your Monopoly enthusiasm. We know that games are the most colorful communication that connects us with our inner child. Happy April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, wishing you to always keep your inner child alive.
