An elegant approach to the New Year's table: Simplicity, harmony and naturalness together
"With the new year I like to set new goals, new wishes, but I also believe in the power of celebrating each new day. Especially on New Year's Eve, I prefer to be at home with my family and loved ones. The New Year's memories of my childhood are always fun and enthusiastic. We have a ritual of breaking pomegranates at midnight."
If your New Year's table had a story or motto, what would it be?
I would say "positive harmony". In fact, as we start a brand new year, I wish a simpler, harmonious and minimalist year for all my loved ones, away from the crowds and excesses, and I reflect this wish on the New Year's table. Just like the notes dancing in harmony, I prefer a positive, relaxed and comfortable table design where everything is in harmony with my favorites.
What inspired you to prepare this table?
I like uniformity in color. This is also the case with the choice of food, in fact I try to make sure that the food is in harmony with the platters, the flowers and the ambiance. I did not compromise on simplicity in the New Year's table I prepared. I complemented the beige platelets with mustard-toned fabric services and napkin holders. Since I don't like to use too many accessories, I emphasized the Christmas theme with flowers. Again, for color harmony, I chose beige platelets and a blue, handmade porcelain vase. I complemented it with imported hypericum flowers. I preferred to use imported anthurium flowers on the coffee tables and in different parts of the house. Apart from these, sweets in the form of pine trees and a deer figurine also reinforced the New Year's theme. As candlesticks, I preferred the black and gray tones of handmade candlestick sets that match the lines of the vase. Of course, pomegranates were also a must.
